February 24th, 2009: “Din” Domacasse celebrated 15 years working for STINAPA
Recently Edwin “Din” Domacasse, celebrated 15 years of service for STINAPA Bonaire. Din started working for STINAPA as a Ranger February 7th 1993 and was eventually promoted to ‘Chief Ranger’ of the Bonaire National Marine Park.
Last Thursday, together with his family, board members and his colleges, this milestone was celebrated. The event took place at the Washington Slagbaai National Park.
Din explained that the majority of the time he works in the field. His job includes many different activities including maintenance of the Marine Park, patrolling by boat and car and whenever needed, helping the tourists and inhabitants of Bonaire as well as giving them information. What Din likes best about his job? When he and his team are able to help out in difficult or urgent situations both on land and at sea.On behalf of the president of STINAPA, Evo Cicilia, Din received a bonus as a token of appreciation by STINAPA for his dedication and love for his job.
