May 25th, 2007: STINAPA launched its new web site
On May 24th, 2007, STINAPA Bonaire launched its new web site. STINAPA is the entity responsible for the management of Bonaire’s national parks, which encompass the Bonaire National Marine Park and the Washington-Slagbaai National Park.
The new site offers information about the Foundation, its history, the Board of Directors, personnel and volunteer group. The site also offers information about the Nature Fee, which is collected from users of the parks and how the Foundation uses this income to manage the parks. Additionally on each park, ample information is given on the history, flora and fauna, monitoring and research, activities one can engage in and the rules and regulations. There are downloads, brochures and maps (including a dive map) available, as well as a virtual tour. Information about the Visitors Center at Washington-Slagbaai National Park, Lac and Klein Bonaire is also included.

Stinapa is het instituut dat verantwoordelijk is voor het beheer van Bonaire’s nationale parken, waaronder het Bonaire Nationaal Marien Park en het Washington-Slagbaai Nationaal Park.
De nieuwe website biedt informatie over de stichting, haar historie, haar Raad van Bestuur, personeel en het vrijwilligersbestand. Ook is er informatie te vinden aangaande de “Nature Fee’ ( Natuur-bijdrage), die wordt verkregen van gebruikers van de parken, en hoe de stichting deze fondsen aanwendt om het park te beheren. Verder is er van ieder park een ruim aanbod van informatie over de historie, flora en fauna, en het beheer en onderzoek, activiteiten waaraan men mee kan doen en reglementen voor het gebruik.
Tevens zijn brochures en landkaarten ( én onderwaterkaarten) te downloaden, en is er een virtuele tocht door het park te maken. Tenslotte is er informatie over het Bezoekers Centrum bij de ingang van Washington-Slagbaai Nationaal Park, Lac en Klein Bonaire.
