July 26st, 2010: THE NEW PICK-UPS FOR STINAPA HAVE ARRIVED.
Recently, STINAPA Bonaire received two new pick-up trucks. One destined for the Washington Park, and the other for the Marine Park STINAPA managed to do this with funds received from the Dutch ‘Nationale Postcode Loterij' (Dutch Postal Code Lottery Foundation).
Last year the Chief Ranger of the National Underwater Park , Edwin (Din) Domacassé, received a decoration for all the tremendous work he has done to protect nature and the environment of Bonaire. Every year the ‘Nationale Postcode Loterij' awards those who stand out in their jobs, and the Dutch division of the World Nature Fund nominated Dín. He received a prize, the “Golden Pennant”, and 20.000 Euros from the ‘Nationale Postcode Loterij'. With this money STINAPA bought two pick-ups, one for the Marine Park and one for Washington Slagbaai National Park .
STINAPA Bonaire would like to extend its gratitude to the World Nature Fund and the ‘Nationale Postcode Loterij' for this donation. It will give us the opportunity to do our work even better.
This way our children and their children may look forward to the future and be able to enjoy our beautiful nature both above and below water.
