The education program was initiated by STINAPA and the other environmental NGOs of Bonaire with funding from World Wildlife Funds- Netherlands (WWF-NL) to develop school materials, train teachers in their use, and offer a variety of educational programs about Bonaire’s natural environment. World Wildlife Funds- Netherlands (WWF-NL) agreed with STINAPA that the public older than 18 years should also receive nature and environment related information and they funded a long term communication campaign called “Nos ta biba di Naturalesa”, “Nature is our livelyhood”. The focus of the campaign is to make the public aware that the economy of Bonaire is driven by its nature and environment. Therefore it is important to conserve, protect and preserve it.
